APHP Necker Children Hospital

Necker Children hospital is part of Assistance publique – Hôpitaux de Paris.

Thanks to gene therapy, Pr Cavazzana's Immunology Department has been treating the first "boys in the bubble" suffering from SCID (Severe Combined Immunodeficiency) since 1999.  

For the creation of a gene therapy unit, the hospital Necker Children AP-HP commissioned LSB for the realisation of 4 isolation rooms and additional premises.

Rooms must protect both the patient fand external people from any contamination.

The unit also includes a room dedicated to gene therapy prepared under microbiological safety cabinets.

Works were carried out on a busy site.
